I Know What You’ll Do This Summer

There’s nothing quite like summer, is there? You may choose to spend your time repeating the same past time over a dozen times, or maybe you like a little variety.

If you struggle with finding things to do this summer, with your family, or by yourself, this list is sure to please a plethora of palettes. Call it a to do list, summer day maybes, or a summer bucket list. Either way, enjoy yourself, and be so kind by leaving your own list of things to do for the next three months!

Go to a baseball game.

Even if it’s not the majors. AA, or AAA can be just as enjoyable, but the seats are better, and the food is cheaper.

Get a hammock and actually take a nap in it.

There just aren’t many ways that say vacation like a hammock. If you’ve never done it, you just must.

🍉 Eat a whole watermelon.

🚣 Float in a canoe.

While you’re at it, put a cooler of some of your favorite snacks, beverages, and a baggie for your cell phone in it with you.

🎢 Theme Park it up like an 8th grader.

👪 Stare at the stars with your kids on the trampoline.

True, that a trampoline is not flattering for a middle aged man’s self esteem. Sure, you’re a bit heavier than you used to be. Just buy bigger shirts and jump at night so the neighbors don’t see you. The kids will love you for it!

🎫 Go to a Drive In Movie

… that is, if you can find one. Sadly, many of them have disappeared like all those cassettes.

🍔 Grill large quantities of meat on a charcoal grill.

Swing like Tarzan from a rope into a body of water.

Of course it goes without saying that you should know that it is a good depth before you commit.

This is by no means an exhaustive list, but it should keep you going for a couple of months. Good luck and have a great summer!
