“Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.”
Psalms 100:3, NIV
Socrates said, “Know thyself,” and another said, “The proper study of mankind is man.” While such things have a high degree of importance, there is no higher study, yes, worshipful observance, than knowing God. Truthfully, the most accurate study of mankind is not man, but God. He who knows God knows himself and has considered himself nothing compared to the worth and glory of God in the face of Jesus.
