A Private Prayer of a Public Sort

“Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.” Psalm 16:5-6

My heart gives me bad counsel when I’m in the flesh and I’m careworn from waking up in a funk these last few days. Even right now I’m struggling to find the boundary lines of my inborn and heavenly inheritance. Open the eyes of my spirit that I may see the wonders of the law of love within and without. In your great name I ask. Amen.

The Psalmist was as real as it gets so I guess that means we can be real as well. According to this Psalm, God is at my right hand even when I wake up on the wrong side. It’s a comfort knowing there is no wrong side of the right hand of God.
