Thank You Rich

Rich Mullins, who tragically died September 19, 1997, did more for Christian music than anyone I’ll ever know.

His love for Jesus was contagious, loved people with a torch in the eye, and told the unblinking truth without hesitation.

He said more in this musical manifesto than he knew in the moment. I’d like to imagine this song pulsed in the air from heaven right before his earthly departure (starting at 3:45).

I look forward to meeting this brother in heaven someday, shake his hand, look him in the eye, and share with him how his music helped me to see the weight and worth of Jesus.

Thank you Rich.

Long live Christian music.
