“This one calls for wisdom…” (Rev. 13:18a).
Understanding Scripture requires wisdom from above, especially passages which are hard to possess intellectually.
Wisdom is applied knowledge through experience and insight and the kind of insight we need to aid us in following hard after God requires a wisdom of a heavenly sort.
If you don’t understand a passage, ask God who gives His wisdom in abundance to those who persist in a humble pursuit of it. Do not for a lack of humility or willingness to suffer fall short of the getting the understanding God wants to give you but only by striving.
There is labor and waiting in getting the knowledge God gives and you will rise up with keen wings of an eagle by seeking a divine wisdom which only comes from above.
