What’s THE Plan, Man?

I’ve been stressed a lot over what I’m supposed to do, and sadly, most of it revolves around making a nice comfortable living for myself.

As a Christian, this is nonsense, especially because I’m “all in”.

Sidenote: don’t tell Him you’re “all in” and be disappointed when He starts changing things up. It’s all according to plan.

Speaking of plans, I quit making them because everyone of them crumble in my hands after tiring labor and no results. One big book of ongoing disappointments, vocationally speaking.

While I’m trying to carve a path to “a life”, He must look at me puzzled (as if God could be puzzled) thanking…

“…don’t you have the end of your search with you right now? Isn’t this what you wanted?”

Isn’t Jesus the goal of all our desires, anyway? Whether we know it or not, God has shaped us all in a way to be full partakers of His divine nature.

“For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.” 2 Peter 1:4

If you believe that, lean into it and have it tested for flaws. He will surprise you with THE plan He had in mind all along, which changes on the daily, btw.

He’s not into writing new plans but establishing THE plan feels like it… new and old at the same time. Just keep scooting up to the communion table every day to be renewed in mind (Romans 12:1-2). He is making you into an instrument of righteousness in His hands, and also preparing you as a gift for God to be used for His will and good pleasure.

Going after the world’s wealth, according to the world’s ways, is like fighting over spent sunflower seeds. There’s only a few left and the remainder of the greedy will fight to the death on who can have all of it to themselves. Let them. He’s got something far better for His kids.

If you have Jesus, but not in fullness, He is the end, the means, and THE plan itself. Look no further. No hustler’s agenda can stand on its own feet in comparison.

Go after the golden eggs exclusively and you’ll miss the goose. Go after the King and you’ll receive His Kingdom in addition.

“You reveal the path of life to me; in your presence is abundant joy; at your right hand are pleasures eternal.” Psalm 16:11

I prayed a dangerous prayer 5 years ago, and am now starting to wonder how many others He did this with at, or around, the same time. I realized something about this dangerous prayer, that it was not from me, but was the divine in me calling to divine above me.

I hope He brings a few of us together in each city to set up His Kingdom accordingly, as He plans to, before His return. I didn’t want to get “caught with my pants down”, so I put my work boots on in preparation.

I pray He does the same in you.
