Hebrews 12:15-17 (ESV) “See to it … that no one is … unholy like Esau, who sold his birthright for a single meal. For you know that afterward, when he desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no chance to repent, though he sought it with tears.”
The blessing is reserved for those willing to be burdened by right of new birth in Christ. The cross must be shouldered through a narrow way leading to a God-prepared blessing that no eye has seen, ear heard, or heart having conceived it’s glory. It has been saved for those that love God and are the called according to His purpose.
You can’t have the blessing of God on your life in the present, or in the one yet to come, without the birthright.
Well said. Thanks.
